Rental Policies

Our current costume rental rates are based on complete production rentals. To arrange for a price quotation, please contact the Costume Order Department (clicking "Email Us" below will lead to email contact form). Rates are based on the number of dress rehearsals and performances. The costumes may be shipped 1 to 2 weeks prior to the opening performance. If they are required earlier, there is an additional charge.

Costumes are shipped via UPS or United States Postal Service. Shipping charges both ways are the customer’s responsibilities. Curtains Up Costumes can accommodate Federal Express upon request. We are happy to provide shipping estimates.

We expect costumes to be returned or shipped within two days following the closing performance.

Costume Use & Care
We care deeply about keeping the quality of our costumes of the highest caliber. We ask the following:

  • NEVER USE SAFETY PINS (except in elastic!) Costume alterations should be done by a seamstress. If not available, please use masking tape, electrical tape, duct tape, etc. Do not do anything that alters the costume permanently!
  • Always hang costumes up between uses
  • Do not eat or drink in costume
  • Any damages (i.e. rips, tears, burns, stains) will be charged a repair fee. Any damages due to choreography (i.e. knee burns, tears, holes) will result in full purchase price of costume. NO KNEE SLIDES!
  • DO NOT launder our costumes
  • Treat your costume with care; we can only maintain our low price if we are able to continue using them

Form of Payment: We gladly accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We request a Purchase Order from educational institutions.
